Uni Work: Wall of Type Part 1
For the first part of this Project, I was given a letter to recreate as a physical piece of typography, to be placed in a 'Wall of Typography" in our studio. I was given the letter 'X'. I can honestly say that I am not very good at creating typography nor at making 3D objects, so I had no great enthusiasm for this project. However, despite my reservations I decided to go a different way instead of just remaking the letter as a 3D object, I am a huge fan of old retro games such as Pac man and Space Invaders so I decided to base the letter design on one of these old game characters. Can you guess which one?

University work: Under Milk Wood
This is a project that i have just handed in called "Under Milk Wood". Under Milk Wood is a radio play voiced by Dylan Thomas. This play is about a group of villagers in Wale and what secrets these villagers keep behind closed doors. In this Project I had to create an ebook cover and 4 Illustrations based on the characters and scenes in this radio play. They were to be designed for the Ipad. I chose a scene with a character called Mrs Ogmore-Pritchard barking orders at her two dead husbands, Mr Ogmore and Mr Pritchard and selected sentences as a base for the illustration.
These are the characters i created from the play. Mr Pritchard ( 2nd dead husband, Left), Mrs Ogmore -Pritchard ( Alive, Center) and Mr Ogmore ( 1st Dead Husband, Right).
This is my Ebook front cover. Based on an image of Whitby.
This is my Mr Pritchard. The sentence from the play is " I must dress behind the curtain and put my apron on."
Mr Pritchard- " I must take my cold bath which is good for me"
Mr Ogmore and Mrs Ogmore- Pricthard- " I must blow my nose. In the Garden if you please!"
Mr Ogmore- " I must put my pyjamas in the drawer marked pyjamas.
